Welcome to Meneroka! Thank you for visiting my blog. I hope you enjoy it and head back for many, many more visits.
What is Meneroka?
Meneroka is a blog about travel. I’m a twenty-something girl from the UK who was lucky enough to spend one year travelling in India, South-East Asia, Australia and New Zealand. When I returned and began adjusting back into a settled life, I found myself wanting to keep my travel memories alive as much as I could – and what better way than by sharing my experiences with others?
I chose the name ‘Meneroka’ because it is the Malay word for ‘exploring’. Malaysia was the first country I visited entirely by myself so I thought it was perfect.
Meneroka is ideal for people who want to go travelling, whether you’re looking for specific advice or ideas for your destinations. Most of all, I hope to reassure and encourage anyone who is thinking about going travelling, particularly solo females, so they are empowered to take the leap and go for it.
What makes Meneroka different?
Well…me! There are endless travel blogs out there – so many that it can be a little daunting to start your own. But I believe that every person has something unique to offer. One person will see and experience things differently to the next, therefore the more travel blogs the merrier.
