I visited Nha Trang for a quick stop on the journey between Ho Chi Minh City and Hoi An. It is a beach resort and a bit of a party town too so if you’re looking to sunbathe and party then you’ll have a good time here! There is a long stretch of beach with lots of bars and restaurants along the seafront so it’s a great place to chill out if you want to take a break from the tiring business of sightseeing.
Speaking of chilling out, Nha Trang is known for its mud baths. I visited this one and I really enjoyed it. You soak in a bath full of mud, which is supposed to be really good for your skin, and then shower off all the mud and relax in the pool. It was a really fun experience.
If you’re planning a trip to Vietnam and you don’t have much time, this would be one place that I’d say it’s ok to skip. That’s not to say I didn’t like it, in fact I had a really fun time here, but there is probably less to see in Nha Trang than other places in Vietnam. Alternatively, if you have lots of time to explore the country Nha Trang is a good place to slow down for a few days and get your energy back.
