Gallery: Chiang Mai, Thailand

If you’re put off by the idea of a big, busy city like Bangkok, then you might prefer to head to Chiang Mai. It’s the largest city in northern Thailand, but with a much more laid back vibe than the capital. I didn’t feel like I was walking through a city, more like a beautiful town. It’s full to the brim with temples so it’s a great place to take your time exploring the many cultural sights, stopping for an iced coffee or two in between.

I’ve also included some pictures of Wat Rong Khun, a temple in Chiang Rai province, which I stopped at on the way to Chiang Mai. It’s a pretty wild, unconventional temple with paintings featuring Spiderman and Neo from The Matrix inside.
